Watching the eviction show tonight, I couldn’t help but think that a lot of housemates came out of the whole picturegate row looking quite bad, so I thought I’d take a break from the Kings of Leon at Glasto to jot down my thoughts…
Winners
You have to say the only real winner was Rex - although at fault to start with, he apologised repeatedly and admitted he made a mistake. He stood up to the bullies in the gang in a dignified manner without getting aggressive or losing his temper.
Mo, I suppose, is also a winner in a way. This guy has more issues than the Beano but you can’t help thinking that people will have considerable sympathy for the way he’s being treated. And, let’s face it, nobody deserves to be spat at.
Darnell - was incensed about the spitting and right to take it up with the in-crowd.
Losers
Dennis - ultimate loser who paid for his disgusting act with his place in the house. Good riddance to a nasty, divisive, piece of work.
Jenn - total emotional over-reaction to what Rex did which went on and on and on. The queen bee loved all the attention she was getting and milked it for all she could.
Dale & Stuart - couldn’t believe their luck when the opportunity arouse to defend their damsel in distress. Jenn’s two lapdogs were needlessly aggressive in their attempts to show they could defend her.
Bex - idiotically jumped on the bandwagon.
Luke - almost managed to stay out of it but ended up jumping on the bandwagon too in the end.
Not Sures
Rachel, Kat & Lisa, seemed to stay suitably detached.
Mario - strange rubbing of Mo’s back. Definitely likes to identify a victim and then take up their cause. Surprised health & safety wasn’t mentioned in relation to the spitting incident.
I really feel BB are missing a trick by not having the Sunday psychology show anymore. I used to love their analysis of incidents such as this. Bring back the good old days when it was actually a social experiment and not a platform for fame is what I say!
