Series 7 of Big Brother in the UK looks set to the biggest reality TV betting event in history with bookies predicting over £10 million being gambled over the course of the series. That is almost double the amount bet on previous Big Brother series due to there being more contestant and the show running for longer.

A William Hill spokesman said:

In the space of five years, reality TV betting has become a multi-million pound industry and is the bet of choice for many punters who feel that, as they are the judge of who wins, then surely they know as much as the bookies.
