Big Brother UK Blog - bigbroblog.co.uk
For the first time in the history of Big Brother, one of the housemates is going to beĀ a lucky a member of the public, chosen at random, who finds a “golden ticket”.
There are 100 golden tickets in total and they are hidden inside Kit-Kat 4 finger single bars and Kit-Kat chunky bars. The bars will be distributed randomly with other Kit-Kat bars and so could end up in any of up to 10,000 retail outlets from major supermarkets to local newsagents.
Upon finding a ticket, the lucky person(s) will phone a 24 hour hotline with their unique security code on the ticket and, assuming they pass the necessary checks, will be invited to take part in a special live show where one of the ticket holders will be randomly chosen to enter the house.
The competition is open from 10.30pm on Thursday 18 May until 10.20pm on Friday 2 June.
With over 25,000 people applying to be on Big Brother 7, this golden ticket idea is sure to spark a Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory style golden ticket frenzy in the UK!

I doubt 10.20pm on the Friday is the actual closing date, as the show on that day (at 10pm) will probably be when the contestant enters the house…there’s not much chance you could get to Elstree, make-up, briefing and get into the house in ten minutes…unless the show is at 11.05.
Hey Frenicks, they are still stating this time scale on the official site - as to when they enter the house, well the vetting/audition process will take at least a day I’m guessing so the housemate may enter on a special Sunday or midweek show perhaps? Who knows…?!
